Exchange Rate Surcharges

In the erratic global financial markets of today, it is difficult to predict foreign currency exchange rates over the long term or at the time of operation of a tour. Tour prices are based on the rate of exchange at the time of itinerary publication. If exchange rates change drastically, it may be necessary to implement a surcharge. If a surcharge is required, every effort will be made to minimize the amount. In many cases, these additional foreign exchange rate surcharges are passed on to CONQUEST by its vendors and suppliers

Traveling Insurance

You are advised to buy travel insurance through your agent before coming to Kenya, but local evacuation coverage is available in the unlikely event of a medical emergency while out in the bush. Clients are advised to acquire adequate medical insurance coverage before any tour (including evacuation cover in the event of an emergency), complete repatriation insurance in the unlikely case of death during the tour, and expenses related to  any other illness, or injury during the trip, such as extra hotel expenses, extra transport expenses, quarantines in the country

Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, government action, and all similar circumstances outside the company’s control. In these circumstances, the company shall not be liable to pay any compensation or otherwise be responsible for any expenses or losses you incur where the company is forced as a result to cancel, delay, curtail, or change your birding tour arrangements in any way or where the performance or prompt performance of the company contractual obligations is prevented or affected.

Bird Pishing

Our guides employ and encourage the sensible use of pishing, owl imitations, and playback at times, but only if they feel comfortable doing so under the circumstances. They may want to show you as many birds as they can, but first and foremost they’re conservationists. They never use playback for certain species or at certain times of the year and will prevent you from doing so if they feel it has the potential to cause disturbance to sensitive bird species. They think that they have a sensible, balanced approach to this loaded issue, and They are always willing to listen to your opinion and work with you to reach our mutual goals

Smoking

Smoking in the tour vehicle is strictly not allowed. If you do smoke, kindly be considerate and move away from other clients.
